Eddy van IJzendoorn is a familiar face in cyclocross. Silver medalist at the 2003 Junior Worlds, he spent years racing professionally for Telenet-Fidea. Today, he has swapped pro life for his own bike shop, but he never hung up his wheels. He still races fanatically at the amateur level, where his class shines through.

“Once a pro, always a pro” applies to his equipment choices. Eddy knows the value of good gear. Even without UCI points on the line, he demands equipment that works. He chooses The Mechanic Parts because he refuses to compromise on quality. For Eddy, shifting must be as crisp as in his pro years, so he can still go full gas on Sunday mornings.
