The chainring bolts are compatible with all chainrings. The bolt covers are developed for our chainrings and are not compatible with every brand.

This works, but we cannot guarantee optimal shifting performance. The outer chainrings are developed specifically for our inner chainrings, and the timing between them is optimized. The timing between our outer chainring and an original inner chainring may differ, which can result in more difficult shifting from inner to outer chainring.

2. Product Features & Technology

No, this is not standard. Only the single chainrings for SRAM BCD107 and SRAM 8-BOLT DM are compatible with flattop chains as standard. If the chainring is for a different crank and needs to be compatible with a flattop chain, please mention this in the comments of your order.

No, we strongly advise against this. The chainrings are developed based on the recommended difference between outer and inner chainrings. If a different size is used, the timing between the chainrings changes and we can no longer guarantee perfect shifting performance.

Yes, the standard chainrings each have a slightly different milled core to match the different crank types. For the aero chainrings, this makes no difference; they fit all three 12-speed cranks.


3. Assembly & Parts

No, the bolt covers and/or chainring bolts must be ordered separately.

No, this is not possible and will not work. None of our chainrings can be mounted in reverse.

The crank arm should always be positioned where there is no laser-engraved text, so that the text “The Mechanic-Parts” is aligned with the crank arm.

Yes, this is possible. A 34T is mounted in the position of the inner chainring; from 36T and larger, it is mounted in the position of the outer chainring.


4. Ordering, Delivery & Returns

The chainring size depends on many factors such as rider strength, type of rides, terrain, weather conditions, tire size, bike type, etc. We therefore cannot determine which chainring size is personally suitable for you.

Yes, we can manufacture oval chainrings for a single setup. If you wish to order one, you can place the product order via the webshop and mention in the comments that it should be an oval chainring.

No, this is not possible. The engraving is our brand name and is therefore standard on our chainrings.
